Beginner & Intermediate Coach - Warren Dolben, Brett
Irwin, Calista Merritt
Warren Dolben - Previus coach for KVAC. USA Swimmer.
Warren is currently a Freestyle/Breaststroker for the AU
swim team. In 2010, Warren took 5th in the 100-yd
breaststroke and 14th in the 200-yd breaststroke at the
NYS championships. Warren swam on the team that
won the 400-yd medley relay and placed 5th in the 200-yd
medley relay at the championship meet.
Warren was also the team's 3rd highest dual-meet scorer
with 10 wins and 5 2nd place finishes in individual
races while swimming on 6 winning relay teams.
In 2009, Warren placed 14th in the 200-yd IM, 15th in
the 100-yd breaststroke and 17th in the 200-yd
breaststroke at the UNYSCSA championships and had 5 wins
and 5 runner-up finishes in dual meets. Prior to
AU, Warren swam for Berwick Academy in South Berwick,
NH.
Brett Irwin - Previus coach for KVAC.
USA Swimmer. Brett is currently a butterfly
swimmer for the AU swim team. Prior to AU, Brett swam at
Waylan-Cohocton High school where he was a two-time
Section V champ in the 100-yd butterfly and a one-time
champ in the 100-yd backstroke. Brett earned
Swimmer of the Meet honors at the 2009 Livingston County
Athletic Association championships.
Calista Merritt - AU graduate student and currently AU
assistant swim coach. Calista is also a prior
undergradute on AU swim team where in 2010 she swam on
the team that took 12th in the 800-yd freestyle relay
and 14th in the 400-yd freestyle relay at the State
Championship meet. She also had 1 win and 11 runner-up
finishes in dual-meet individual races and swam on 1
winning dual-meet relay team. In 2009, Calista had
11 top 3 finishes in dual-meet individual races and also
swam on teams that finished 1st in 3 relays. She placed
24th in the 1,650-yd freestyle at the NYS championship
meet and swam on the 400-yd & 800-yd freestyle relay
teams that placed 14th. In 2008, Calista swam on
the team that placed 11th in the 800-yd freestyle relay,
had 8 top 3 finishes in dual meets and swam on teams
that won 2 relay races in dual meets. Prior to her
swim career at AU, Calista swam at Livonia High School
where she helped lead her team to a Sectional
Championship in 2006 - 07.
