Ross Munson - Head Coach (E-Mail: prm1@alfred.edu )

Ross Munson began swimming in the 5th grade with the Ithaca YMCA team. he continued to swim through high school and two years in college at Alfred University. He was fortunate to stumble across KVAC when he decided to step down from swimming at AU. He has really enjoyed his coaching experience. Ross has now worked with two USS clubs and at Alfred University as an assistant Swimming and Diving coach. He has had great success building KVAC and is always looking to the future. His focus is on quality and quantity in the pool, with much emphasis given to technique. Ross strives to create a strong sense of team and does so by pushing swimmers to their limits. He tries to show his swimmers (and the team) what they can truly accomplish. He expects a lot from his athletes, but feels that his swimmers hard work does not go unrewarded. See you at the pool!

Kevin Flaitz - Interim Head Coach (E-Mail: KFLUCA@aol.com )

Kevin Flaitz started his swim experience in 1972 at age 11. He swam competitively for the next 7 years under Tri County Swim Club. He was one of the first 8th graders in the area to achieve 5 high school letters in the same sport, while breaking records in numerous events along the way. After graduation from high school he went on to assist coaching the swim club he was previously involved with for numerous years. He was asked to help coach Hornell High school swimming, which he did for several more years, with successful results . he stepped away from coaching and started officiating at the high school level until 1997. He has recently started coaching again in 2005 with Hornell High School boys swim team, showing promising results with his first year returning as an assistant coach. He is excited to be returning to the sport of swimming as a coach, and hopes that his knowledge and experience will help the younger swimmers in the area have successful swimming experiences they will remember for a long time to come. He will be assuming Ross Munsons role as Head Coach for the summer month's of 2006 and with Coach Munson's guidance hopes to have a great summer season.
